Originally planted for fodder, Coffee Bush produces many seeds and can quickly spread to nearby areas. In the Port Macquarie Local Government Area under the Biosecurity Act 2015 this plant must be eradicated. Port Macquarie Hastings Council will control this weed if it is reported to them stopping the spread of this emerging weed.
Coffee Bush can be removed by hand, cut and paint or basal barking,
