Queens Lake Community Planting Day (2025)!

Join us on Sunday 23rd Feb 2025 to plant 300 trees for koala and other wildlife at Queens Lake Nature Reserve!

Join Hastings Landcare, Port Macquarie Hastings Council(PMHC) and National Parks and Wildlife Service(NPWS) for a community planting day at Queens Lake Nature Reserve. We will be creating a canopy on newly acquired NPWS land. Three hundred trees will be planted on the day with species including Tallowwood, Grey Gum, Bloodwood and Turpentine. These trees should grow quickly and establish well to provide food and shelter for koala and other wildlife.

Event: Queens Lake Community Planting Day

Date: 23.02.2025

Time: 930am-1pm

Bring: Enclosed shoes, long pants, hat, sunscreen, drink bottle and a camp chair.

Catering: Free BBQ to follow planting. Gluten free and vegetarian options available.

Access: 4WD vehicles required. If you don’t have a 4WD, no problem! Simply arrive at the meeting point, and we’ll give you a lift down 😃. Meeting point details will be provided upon registration.
