Take time to slow down, observe and take inspiration from nature. Nature journalling is an opportunity to be led by curiosity and tap into creative and reflective thinking. It is a chance to focus your attention on the natural world and see its wonder. Over the sessions we have had, we have discovered nature journalling can be anything from studying the details of a leaf or documenting wildlife activity to poems and stories. By far the most enjoyable part of nature journalling is sitting by the river with a group of lovely people talking, chatting, listening and sharing.
About the Site
Comboyne Streamcare Group have been making progress in leaps and bounds in their efforts to restore valuable platypus habitat on the Thone River. With funding from Hastings Landcare’s Conserve Biodiversity Hotspots Project in 2022 the group engaged a bush regeneration contractor to control the understory of persuasive narrow-leafed privet. The site has also been planted with 1000 understorey shrubs and grasses. The group now hold regular working bees to continually improve the site!
